We are off to Rustin, Louisiana. After our day off yesterday, Animal was rarin to go. The first hour was sheer delight. US 80 was smooth and gave us a nice run downhill. But as in all things, it was too good to last. The road tilted the other way, the road surface became rough and cracks and potholes began to take their toll in our legs, butts, and tires. Animal did not help. All he could do was whimper about his lost and forsaken love. We appeased him by naming some hills for her. So for you Meredy, you have three hills dedicated to your memory. Animal sure does miss you though.

Rustin Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital continue to meet a standard of excellence far beyond our greatest expectations. We can't say enough about the celebrity treatment that we are afforded at every stop. Of course, we can't say enough about the patients that we met. Cleve, Jerry, Pete, and Mary, all have an inner strength and resiliency that we admire. These guys will be on their feet and moving on in life in no time. We know they will persevere and succeed. The wonderful Louisiana cuisine and fruit baskets are really appreciated.

A special thanks is warranted to the timely resupply of liners, sleeves, and posters from Ohio Willow Wood. They have been with us with every turn of the pedal and we cannot say enough about the wonderful support that they have afforded us from Day One. Our particular thanks to Bob for the one week loan of Meredy. She is a jewel beyond measure.
