Leaving Pecos, Texas we had a brief ride to the Midland, Texas International Airport. After picking up Meredy Fullen from Ohio Willow Wood we balanced her upon our handlebars and headed for Healthsouth. Animal was ecstatic. Meredy has been our Mother Theresa, patron saint of our journey, bringing us needed supplies for our limbs and prosthetic devices. She has in ways, too innumerable to count, made things happen that made our ride possible. She is a welcome addition, albeit temporarily, to our traveling troop. Ride on, Meredy!
Joining us for our ride into the Healthsouth facility was a group of bicyclists from the Midland/Odessa bicycle club. They made it fun and made us feel welcome. Our arrival at Healthsouth was a warm one. A large banner welcoming us was held up by members of the Healthsouth staff and members of the local amputee support group. Bill Grey, the CEO welcomed us and was the perfect host. His staff were warm, receptive, and anxious to make our visit a pleasant one. Joe Ortiz, the president of the support group was on hand to give us a very special welcome.

Our special feeling of gratitude is extended to all of Healthsouth for arranging the media coverage which allowed our message to be broadcast. The reception was followed by a great meal prepared and served by our hosts. Our heartfelt thanks to all who made our visit a pleasant and productive one. Tomorrow, we travel to Stanton for our third skydive of the trip. Jerry Suggs's older brother of 76 years of age, will be doing a tandem jump as well.
Sorry about our delayed posting of our journals but we have not had internet access for the last few days.
