We started the day at 6:00 AM departing Sweetwater, Texas.
Traveling along I-20 on the service road, we encountered dead snakes and live emus. Along with the forest and jungle, we think that interstate service roads should qualify as a habitat in its own right.
Along the way, in addition to the local fauna, we encountered several hitchhikers. Of course, the softy that he is, Animal wanted us to give rides to all of them. Just to quiet him down, we did pick up one shown here and will assign her marketing duties in exchange for her transportation to a homeless shelter for wayward marketeers.
Here are our wonderful support drivers who put up with our antics and do such a great job in keeping us safe on the road.
Today was an easy day, despite the rough road surfaces and flat tires. We arrived in Abilene, Texas in time for an early lunch. Tomorrow we hope to be in Fort Worth, Texas. Check with us then for the latest.
