Following our visitation last night, we caravanned to Shreveport, Louisiana where we had to part company with our guardian angel.  Meredy has been a blessing to us in all of her behind-the-scene efforts to distribute materials and beat the drum for amputees.  Her wisdom, spirit, and wise counsel have been a bulwark  of our success in making a difference in so many lives that we touched along out journey. 

To Meredy and Ohio Willow Wood, whose efforts and funding, as our primary sponsor, have made this all possible we owe a great debt of gratitude.  We (and especially Animal) are sorry to see you go Meredy.  We shared more than a journey across Texas and wish you a joyful reunion with Jeff and your two boys.  Godspeed!

After enjoying this, our second down-day of this trip, we will probably be pedaling though the rain on our way to Ruston, Louisiana.
