Another day and more miles towards the end of our journey.  We started our day in Huntsville on our way to Birmingham, Alabama.  The air was hot and humid but the scenery was enjoyable as always.   

Here Bruce and Jim contemplate the day's ride and look on in vain for the nearest liquid refreshment establishment. 

Along the way we made an impromptu visit to a local "Health Care Center".  Or was this just a ruse by Joe to conveniently leave the boys at a safe and secure setting for some much needed rest.  Their actions have become increasingly erratic and restaurants now refuse to allow sharp implements within their easy reach.  We can only hope that the sight of ocean will rouse the boys from their catatonic state.

Here Joe cautiously approaches Mark in an attempt to ascertain the problem.  It seems one of Mark's tires is refusing to retain air.  After a few moments Mark was able to subdue the beast (his bike) and we were off along our route once again.

Mark is pictured here cycling up one of the many hills today.  The heat, humidity and inclines tested our endurance.

The boys right before a "rather large" hill.  We have all learned new terms of endearment for these lofty inclines.

We ended the day in one piece but quite a few pounds lighter.  Tomorrow is another visitation at the HealthSouth center in Birmingham.  A big hello to Katie and Deb in Colorado Springs and of course Elizabeth Hibbett who has earned the nickname "Sunshine" for her sunny disposition during her brief stay with the gang .  And finally our thoughts and well wishes go out to Cheryl who is nursing a broken leg suffered a few days ago.  Feel better soon Cheryl.
