Birmingham Visitation

Today was a visitation at the HealthSouth facility in Birmingham, Alabama.  It was another hot and humid day but the staff and patients at HealthSouth always helps us forget about the warm weather.

Here Joe, exhausted by the antics of the AAA boys seeks refuge in a local storm drain.  The hideaway was a bit too secure and Joe required ample amounts of ampubalm to free him from his tomb.

Here the gang await the ride to the facility.  Pictured here are some guest riders and Bob May, CEO from Healthsouth.

The boys at the entrance to the facility.  As always, the welcome by the staff and patients was tremendous and made us feel right at home.  Mark tells a humorous story while Bruce and Jim look on. 

Pics of patients and staff listening to the boys.  As always their long winded tales and exploits on the road become more and more out of touch with reality leaving everyone exhausted and begging for the end.  Here the crowd applauds as Bruce tells all that his comments will be brief.

The boys entertain some of the many patients at the facility with stories and jokes. 

The boys with Ann, a recent amputee, who we had the privilege of meeting during our visitation.  Despite numerous broken bones and an amputation, Ann smiled through it all.  Ann is a former bicycle rider and is determined to get back on her two wheeler and ride again.  Her spirit and attitude made us feel as though anything is possible.  Best of luck Ann and a speedy recovery.

The boys with some of the staff at HealthSouth and members of a local amputee support group.  The boys had the honor of talking at the support group's meeting that evening and a great time was had by all.  All in all, another wonderful visitation.
