.

We started our day under hot and humid skies in Stillwater, Oklahoma pedaling towards Oklahoma City.  Here the gang gets ready to do battle with some of the local Stillwater vehicles on route 177.  This was Cheryl's last ride for a while and the gang wanted to pedal some miles.

Here Mark, a most gregarious and lovable guy, stands idly by counting the trucks as they roll through a truck stop near Stillwater.  Mark is a touchy-feely sort of guy and loves hugs.

We ran out of roads with decent shoulders so headed for the nearest Burger King playland.  The gang had a great time using the slides and tunnels.  Unfortunately Joe did not make the minimum height cut and was forced to watch our merriment from the sidelines.  Next time we will put risers in his shoes.

One of our skull caps bearing the official title for our tour.  Pictured below is the bootleg version name for the tour called "tour de gimp".  Actually the tour has been renamed to "Bums of Teal".  Perhaps and explanation is in order.  Several days ago the support crew suggested renaming the tour to the above name.  The boys readily agreed thinking the crew had said "Buns of Steel" for their nicely honed backsides.  The crew actually said "Bums of Teal" because the boys are, well, bums and they wear copious amounts of teal jewelry on their persons.  Rules are rules and the AAA bylaws stipulate a majority vote is needed to change the tour name so "Bums of Teal" remains.

A sad day as Cheryl relaxes at our most recent hotel and awaits her ride to the airport.  Cheryl you will be sorely missed but we look forward to seeing you in Nashville.

Here Mark strikes a defiant pose when told his room would not contain the usual Perrier and personal hot tub.

Here the gang pose with Cheryl one last time before her departure for the airport.  Although we are smiling on the outside we are sad to see her go.
