| We started from York and after fighting the
traffic on US 30 we ventured off onto the farm roads winding through the
Amish countryside.
Joe in the command center trying to talk on the cell phone, run the GPS, and talk to the chase vehicle, and.... oh yes.... drive the truck and not run over the riders.
Sheila is raring to go as she joins us for our ride.
A morning mist turns into a light drizzle and keeps us cool.
Quiet roads and open farmland made for a relaxing and peaceful Sunday ride.
We appear to be the only people in a maze of cornfields.
James does his imitation of a dog next to a fire hydrant.
Two Amish ladies eye Kip's, well.. er... bicycle and seemed to have liked what they saw.
On our ride through the Amish country, we saw more people in horse-drawn buggies and on bicycles than in motorized vehicles.
Surveying the landscape from our hilltop rest stop.
Our road appears to be passing through a barnyard and smelled like it too.
It's all downhill from here.
Amish lawn mowers busy at work.
Linda is still smiling.
This is looking back at the hill we just climbed. It was short but steep.
The long and winding road.
CAUTION: Horse droppings ahead.
