We start the day under cloudy skies but no rain.  We planned to ride a 33 mile long bike trail on our way through southeastern Pennsylvania.  Unfortunately, the heavy rains the day before had caused the Schuylkill River to swell and much of the bike trail was under water.  We decide to drive a few miles to Valley Forge National Park and bicycle the trails there.

Kip is deep in thought (or did he just fall asleep standing up with his eyes open again?)

We take in many sites in the park including this group of soldiers' huts used during the encampment of Washington's troops.

We saw many deer in the park and these three were mesmerized by the sight of us riding by.

We enjoy a nice picnic lunch near the Visitor Center in the park.  Richard is a no "baloney" sort of guy, he's all "ham".

Crossing the Delaware River, we say farewell to Pennsylvania and hello to New Jersey.
