We
depart Hays with James and Kip pointing the way. Apparently Joe missed the
instructions, he took us down a dirt road for several miles. His excuse was that
he did not know there were any paved roads in Kansas. Apparently he doesn't
think there are road signs either.
 Through
the farm country of Kansas. There is some beautiful country in Kansas and
with blue skies, moderate temperature and friendly people, the ride is a
true pleasure..
Julie trips over a boulder in the parking lot (her bionic leg goes haywire at times), followed by the Great Water Fight. James vs Richard vs Joe vs Kip which continued on the road for many miles. A winner has not been declared as yet. Stay tuned; same bat time, same bat channel.
We complete our journey. A great ride through warm and mostly flat countryside.

Poor
Kip gets to watch Joe ride his bike. Joe loves to rub it in. We just humor
him and can't wait until the next motel with a swimming pool. We have plans
for him. 
Today
was interview day. A radio interview from Jefferson City, Mo, and
three newspaper interviews on the road as we passed through localities. I
wonder what kind of nefarious deed the two criminals are cooking up now.
