Another beautiful day begins in Kansas.  The sky was cloudless, the sun bright, and the roads wide open, long, and downhill . . .and uphill. . .and downhill. . .and you get the point.  James was proud of the people of his home state as they demonstrated a level of hospitality to the travelers that will, most likely, not be matched.  At a stop at the Farmer's CO-OP in Navarre, the manager not only let the group use the facilities, he also furnished water and caps to protect us from the glaring sun.  We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the fine people there.

The torrid two-some running the hills of Kansas at high speeds, at least downhill.  Joe and James were at the bottom of the canyon and eyeing the next mountain.

Maalox on a sunny afternoon as James, once again, explains to Joe that the wires have to be plugged in for the electrical components to work.  Richard furnished Joe with this extra-large size screwdriver to tighten his loose screws with.

Another blessed newspaper interview, this one in the town of Eskridge.  As the owner of the local newspaper was leaving the office, the group of desperadoes rode into town.  Since they were strangers this would be news.  So, once again the group was able to spread the word and find more notoriety.

Lunch with the locals at the cafe in downtown Eskridge.  The food was good and the company was better.  James was proud to be able to show the true spirit of Midwestern hospitality from his home state to his traveling companions.

A very special, warm, and wonderful thank you to James' parents.  They have been following the group as they traversed Kansas and treated the group to dinner at the Cracker Barrel as their show of support and encouragement.  Afterwards, as the whole crowd sat in the rocking chairs outside the restaurant, they put on a show for other patrons.
