We rode out of Kansas City to rendezvous outside of Jefferson City. It was a grueling one and a half miles at a break-neck pace. Whew! We were saved from this ordeal by Special-Ed informing us that we needed to be in Jefferson City at ten, not eleven. So pack up and tear off eastward.

A support ride by the local bicycle club. These guys were great. They met us about 8 miles outside Jefferson City, and with the police, escorted us into town and to the park.

Some needed support for Julie. Notice everyone cheering her on. Heartwarming isn't it?

A touching scene of support. When we discovered that she was cheating, we decided that heartwarming was no longer applicable.

Bringing all along to the finish

Despite hills, heat, and exhaustion we made it through the city and to the park.                     A wonderful lunch awaited us. This was put out by Bruce and Cheryl Hibbitt. Delicious and much needed.               Vision of sugar plums dancing no doubt. Richard comtemplates his next move, which is obviously not in the near future.                     James makes a new friend. He finally finds someone he can talk to and that will listen.                       A new level for James who is not used to associating with others of maturity                             Many, many thanks for all the efforts of Bruce and Cheryl Hibbitt, alumni of AAA 2003, who organized our event.  We miss you guys and look forward to you both joining us in Chicago.
