Sharon
becomes courageous and prepares to experience the wonders of Missouri on two
wheels. It was a beautiful day for cycling on the Katy Trail.

Bruce and Cheryl Hibbettt, veterans from the 2003 AAA
ride, and our gracious hosts in Jefferson City, accompany the current riders
for the beginning miles of the day's ride. We want to thank them for
their gracious hospitality and introducing us to the Central Dairy Ice Cream
Shop.
The
beginning of the trail. It just appears that Julie is going to run
into the gate. She later reported it as being "the best bicycle ride
of my life".
Tara
is escorting the riders across the bridge and offering words of
encouragement.
The
Mighty Missouri River. Some brave souls are launching their water
craft and preparing to enjoy a day of watersports.
After
a long afternoon of lazing by the side of the road with Kip, waiting to be
found by the support crew, James loads his bicycle on the rack. Kip
had a blowout on his rear tire and miscommunications allowed them to enjoy a
couple of hours alongside the road. Eventually they were located by
the Warden and his henchmen (and henchwomen) and taken into custody again.
One of these days they will again attempt a daring escape from the clutches
of the evil Warden Joe and will entice the others to join.

One of the many sights along the Katy Trail. This
building is located in the thriving metropolis of Treloar.
