The motley crew plus Senator Wayne Goode riding from Forest Park for their arrival at the Rehabilitation Institute of St Louis.  Note the effortless motions in pedaling up that STEEP incline.  These guys just never stop amazing me with their ability to overcome the challenges of life in the slow lane.  A brief early morning drizzle gave way to a sunny day.

Alderman Roddy making proclamation with Senator Goode looking on.  The city of St. Louis welcomed us with open arms and warm smiles.  We very much appreciated the graciousness of our hosts.

Bill Brammer  from Amputees Getting Into Life Energetically (AGILE) is shown being his usual articulate self.  His words were heartfelt and on the mark and we enjoyed spending some time in the evening with his group.

Bill Matzker who we hope seriously considers joining us in 2005 is shown here.  We don't think the word "can 't" is in his vocabulary and think he would be an inspiration to other amputees.  So send that application in Bill and we look forward to seeing you next year on a bicycle.

Jamal joins the group to begin his portion of the ride as we say "good-bye" to "little Joe".  We have all enjoyed having Joe and his parents with us on this journey and now look forward to sharing this adventure with our newest Junior Ambassador.

Thanks to Dan Rothery and Karen Kreeb for putting on a wonderful reception and setting up our evening meeting with the local amputee support group.  Your efforts made us feel welcome and we were able to talk to a wide variety of patients, amputees, and family support members.
