After a slightly delayed departure due to one rider (who shall remain nameless to protect Linda) being MIA for twenty minutes this morning, we had a very smooth, mostly downhill ride and our earliest arrival to date, arriving at our hotel at 11:35 this morning.  The weather continues to be in our favor.  We rode with blue skies overhead and fascinating mountain scenery surrounding us.

Our newest guest ride, Keith has joined the ride.  He will be riding with us from now until we get to Salt Lake City.

A good road, with a wide shoulder gave us an break from the winding hilly roads with a white line for a shoulder that we have had to deal with through the mountains of California.

Where have all the trees (and flowers) gone? Here is a picture of Stealth Linda wearing her desert cammies. This is probably why we missed seeing her this morning at departure.

The high desert landscape gave us many interesting sights along our route.

Keith, our guest rider, a prosthetist from Montgomery, Alabama. He also brought Kip the liners that he left at home.  This is Keith's second year on the ride and was named Mountain Goat not so much because of his smell but for his hill climbing abilities.  Welcome back Keith.
