We survived our January trip to Ohio Willow Wood's facility in Mount Sterling, Ohio.  Alabama based Kip just didn't understand how James, based in sunny Kansas, could walk around in 5 degree weather in short sleeved shirts and shorts.  Alas, the division between North and South became even more apparent when James was seen trying to pour milk over his GRIT.  Linda, amused by all of this tried to keep her neutrality and sanity by staying out of the contentious bickering.  After three days of sitting for unrelenting measurements and adjustments, the reward of walking on a Pathfinder foot made all of their differences disappear. Kip not only lost his limp but he also stopped talking funny.  He no longer ends all of his words with "-er" like tomater or holler.  We knew the Pathfinder was a great foot but we just never realized just how good it really is in overcoming cultural as well as orthopaedic handicaps.

Please note, Mark F, how good these guys look in their AAA bicycle jerseys.  Linda and the two beards sure look a lot better than the three Paddy-Wacks of 2003. 

Planning continues in coordinating our many stops and visitations.  Joe is trying his best to find an all-downhill route from San Francisco to New York.      

We will continue adding to this journal as time goes on, so until our next entry, keep the faith all.
