We ride through rolling Pennsylvania farmland.  This is the land of the Pennsylvania Dutch so Joe is intent of finding scrapple for breakfast.

Muggy temperatures are moderated by an overcast sky.  With unerring accuracy, and to the surprise of no one, we stop at an A&W root beer stand at the midway point of our ride.

Fortified with root beer floats, we complete the ride following US 119.

We come upon some supporters standing on the side of the road, waving us on.  This, of course, causes us to stop and meet Dave and Shelly Mattis with their son Andrew.  Their generous contribution was welcomed.  We wish the Mattis's well and our very best wishes for their daughter and hope she has a rapid recovery.

Driving to Pittsburgh, Joe yawns while giving first base coach signals to Bill.  Bill takes the sign of imminent narcolepsy and rather than ride with a driver who is fast asleep, Bill graciously offers to drive.  Imagine that!
