It has been brought to the attention of AAA that a certain as yet unnamed author (shown here) of the journal has assassinated Joe and Jim without provocation or basis.  Once we determine who this alleged person really is, retribution will be swift and sure.

Accordingly, B_ _ _'s accomplice, Trisha, and her association with the CIA has been leaked to newspaper reporters.

Despite the bad press, unbowed and undeterred, Joe leads the pack for another on-time arrival despite losing sight of the lead escort vehicle and thereby floundering around the neighborhood before chancing upon HealthSouth.

Our arrival up the front steps is not without peril.  Joe narrowly misses Bill and careens towards the waiting crowd.   Jim is having none of this and hangs back enjoying the show.

There are many onlookers who enjoy the precision bicycle  team show and wait expectantly for the entourage to come to a complete stop.  Banners, media, patients, and a beautiful day make for a great arrival.  Lots of excitement.

Here Bill shakes hands while Jim and Joe work the crowd.  Jim is shown here adjusting his Harley Davidson belt buckle to the admiring looks of Sean and DeEtt.

To avoid the crush of loyal fans, Jim tells everyone that he is Bill.  His cover is blown however when he signs a poster with his name spelled correctly and a signature that is more than an X.

Greg Toot, CEO and Katherine Middleton, DMO greet the riders.  As he sees Jim doing his usual antics, Greg is heard muttering to Katherine, "Well it looks like the inmates have taken over the asylum."

Larry Roberts from the West Shore Chamber of Commerce proclaims it Amputees Across America Day.

Jim, as usual is drawn to the kids that we meet.  In this case he  meets a very special amputee named Sean and they form an immediate bond.  Sean and Jim are kindred spirits.  They both have grit, determination, and a dream to change the lives of everyone they meet.  It is our honor to come to know them.  It is our hope, however, that Sean does not learn too much from Jim.

More posters.  We are touched by every one of them.

Joe recruits Leah for next years ride. Trish shows everyone her new bridgework while Jim continues to work the crowd and Bill takes a pose.

Before tendering Leah a slot in next year's ride, Joe and Bill do the blow through test to make sure that there is a brain matter insufficiency so necessary for a AAA rider.

John Williamson the Regional Business Director for Hanger and an alumni guest rider from last year welcomes the tres stupidos.  Bill and Joe are seen lifting John's wallet in their quest to acquire AAA funds.

It appears that Joe is talking to himself.  This is just an optical illusion. We all know that his associates hang on his every word and are probably in the crowd selling the transcript to collectors of historic documents.

Here Joe slumbers while Jim tells a captive audience all about his life as a pre-puberty adolescent.  As Jim talks about his childhood experiences at age 8, Bill is shown here hanging on his every word.  And the zzzzs roll on

"When I was nine, I had a red bike.  It was a nice bike.  It was red."

As Jim goes on, Joe wakes up and discovers that he and Bill are the only ones left to appreciate Jim's narration.  It seems that the people in the audience were so overcome with emotion that they left to watch the grass grow.

The boys mercifully stop talking and spend some time helping the HealthSouth staff answer telephones and do paperwork.  After canceling one patient's surgery, misdirecting an emergency call to the housekeeping staff, and putting the remaining phones on hold, the Bungling Brothers Circus continue their hospital tour.

Finally, after promises of good behavior, the AAA team is allowed to talk with patients in Physical Therapy.  100 posters later, after talking to patients in the rehab hospital, we visited more patients in the LCAH or acute care facility.  We are impressed with the quality of care so evident in every HealthSouth facility that we have visited.

Here we spend some time with Ashely, a 12 year old outpatient who touched our hearts with her upbeat personality and "can do" attitude.

As seen here, we are so impressed with our Irish leprechaun that we continue to give him top billing.  His fans demand it.

A great visitation, great facility, great staff.  We appreciate all that was done to make our visit so successful and which put us in touch with so many patients.  Special thanks to the Hampton and Homewood Inns of Mechanicsburg for their generous support.  Also thanks to the patients and staff who supported the raffle.
