Riding to Evansville, Indiana

As we head south out of Terre Haute, the riders line up in near perfect formation.  Joe takes center stage and the others give him plenty of space just in case he starts weaving again, lest they become Joe's personal cushion.

Bill saddles up beside of Kyle sporting his latest design in cycling fashion.  An American Flag on top of his helmet.  Later he would complain that the wind resistance held him back as the others zoomed past him.  Kyle tries to keep up even though Joe had let most of the air out of his tires.

Bill and Kody are steady in their ride, following all safety rules and keeping their eyes upon the road.  Joe, however, is so excited with the fact that he has stopped sucking his thumb that he can't help but show it off to drivers by.  Bill tries to keep Joe calm, but his smile says it all.

Joe contemplates his next water pistol attack.  He employs Bill's aide with promises to blow away the competition (Kyle and Kody).  Bill would later find out (the hard way) that this is just a ploy by Joe.  He's a wet head and he doesn't even know it yet.  Joe begins to sing one of his favorite songs...."Bang Bang!!  I shot you down.... Bang Bang.... You hit the ground."  Bill can only smile because..... well..... Joe can't really sing.

Kyle tries hard to stay out of the grooves on the road.  He's already lost two fillings and his hands are numb from the bouncing, but nothing can slow down the boy wonder.

Bill sports the latest in regal fashion.  Elvis is not dead but really reincarnated as Bill Vanover.

Bill refuses to stay in line despite Joe's pleas.

The wet spots on the back of Bill's shirt are evidence that Joe had taken his man by surprise.  While doing a kindly act of compassion.... digging a bicycle out of the trailer for one of the boys, Bill is cruelly subjected to being shot in the back (again) by his supposed buddy, Joe.  Of course when Bill turns and grabs his weapon, amazingly he is shooting only air.  Somebody has sabotaged him!  What a sad state of affairs this has become.  Just when you think you had friends.... they all turn on you and laugh.

Speaking of LAUGHTER.  Here the fearless foursome stop for a photo at their destination.  A day of riding behind, all he has to do is walk his bike across the ditch and pose in front of this sign, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...... Mr. Grace takes a spill and does a tremendous flip on the grass much to the delight of his peers.  Notice that nobody is sprinting over to help him up.   There are only tears.... of laughter from all his buddies.  It's good to know who your friends are.

Bill finally manages to drag himself up to the sign for the group shot signifying the end of another somewhat successful day on the bike.  It was a good day and we're all happy to be in Evansville, Indiana safe and sound.

Kody and Kyle outdid themselves riding 32 miles today.  Tomorrow we have our visitation at HealthSouth.
