I've lived and practiced medicine in Farmington NM since 1980. We moved here when I got out of the army after nine years.

Annie and I have raised two wonderful boys who have become good men. we have two grandsons, Wilson 4 and Grayson 2 months. They live in Arvada. Colorado where my son Christopher is a petroleum engineer. Our granddaughter Maddie is 2 1/2 going on 10. She lives with my son Dana who is in his 4th year of orthopedics residency In Greenville SC.

I practiced noninvasive cardiology until July of '96 when I had a slight stroke due to hypertension, stress and obesity. I took 18 months for physical, emotional and spiritual rehab and returned to practice as the medical director of a home health and hospice. I also work in a wound care clinic a few days a month.

I've been an avid bicyclist for most of my life. I did a lot of mountain biking up till I lost my leg. I still ride the trails a couple times a month but not with the gung ho craziness I used to have.

Most of the time I ride a steel framed bike with 700C wheels with mustache handlebars, I've found that wide platform spd click in pedals with the fakey side set fairly loose works well for me. Like you I've found using a 165mm crank arm on the amp side and a 175 on the other side to be a good setup. I ride year around. I put the fenders and lights on mid October take off in mid to late April.

I like to cook. My brother, my sons, their father-in-laws and I prepare the big holiday meals, we sometimes even do the dishes.
