An early start, we begin our ride in Oracle, Arizona with Beas in the lead. Abel points out the local native life... snakes, scorpions, go go dancers. Beas finds it hard to keep his eyes on the road as passing ladies of the morning shout words of encouragement.
Here the riders are seen riding DOWN another one of Joe's infamous optical illusion hills. Funny how the bike rolls slower and slower and the pedals harder and harder. "It is all in your minds," says Joe. Beas sticks one finger up in the air signifying that he thinks Joe is Numero Uno.
We finally sight the clouds of News Mexico off in the distance. Tomorrow we will depart Arizona for the lush garden oasis of Albuquerque.
