 Joe and Luke conquer the world’s worst itty-bitty hill. Evidently, it was a hard .2-mile ride because both guys were panting upon their arrival. AJ, however, wouldn’t know as she was busy at the summit sunning herself in a lounge chair and ordering mimosas off the special guest menu.
|
 Staff, patients, family, and friends came outside to meet the riders in full force. The TREMENDOUS welcome preceded one heckuva visit at HealthSouth Western Hills Regional in Parkersburg, WV.
|
 Patients, pushed hurriedly by the staff, rush inside past AJ when she begins to demand that everyone call her “Her Fabulous Georgia-licious Princess-osity.” One patient was overheard mumbling that she was more of a horse’s patoot.
|
 Everyone waits patiently as Joe tries to explain to them how the bubble-bike was able to stay upright coming up the mountain. They all seemed happy with his explanation. They began to lose interest when he pulled out the chart he created 3 years ago after riding it. By the time he recreated the event by miming it, they were intentionally not using their oxygen in the hopes they’d pass out and Joe’s presentation would be over.

 Joe begins a game of strip duck-duck-goose with some willing participants.

 When Joe’s game of strip duck-duck-goose was prematurely shut down by one ticked off therapist, he followed orders and practices his double-handed Italian salute instead.

 AJ discusses the fact that SHE AIN’T GOT NO FEET with darn near anyone that’ll listen. As you can see, they show extreme enthusiasm while they suffer through the one-sided tęte-ŕ-tęte.

 Luke shows Diana his imitation of the walk of the little mouse that was so important to his rehabilitation while in the Home for the Criminally Lame. You can tell from this video that time really did stand still.

 AJ gets some much needed puppy smooches with two precious boxer pooches. These two pups play a big role at this HealthSouth. Throughout the day, patients and staff alike got some pet therapy and found themselves working and playing at the same time.
|
 Dorothy is a shining light, whose strength and character are very apparent. It was our immense pleasure to have met her and to be a small part of her day.

 AJ finds talking with Richard to be very delightful mainly because he can’t get away. We sincerely wish that his foot, wrist, and back all heal soon so he can get back to life as usual.

 Beulah challenges AJ to a “sit like a lady” competition. AJ loses miserably and decides to burp out a chorus of Jingle Bells in response with Luke accompanying her using an armpit.
