Thanks to Lakeview Employees and their family members, the Central Kentucky Wheelmen, www.ckwheelmen.org and the E-Town Police for making our ceremonial ride-in today a tremendous success. With the pleasant 75-degree temperature and the gentle winds, nary a drop of sweat had to fall.

The guys, after realizing that the Princess consumed 10 pounds of 7-bean salad last night, ride slightly upwind of her just in case the headwind they are experiencing turns into a tail wind.

Realizing she couldn’t get away, Doc, Little Joe, and AJ tell Cara all about how the Rev. B. Dogg and Silicon C. Dog (our two newlyweds) are always making gross kissy faces, how the Rev. should never have been let out on parole, and how Wal-mart is going to win the pending hair removal lawsuit against Bill.

Doc tries to teach Mary how to do give a knick-knack-paddy-whack and give the dog a bone while singing the song “This Old Man.”

We were quick to note the posted visiting hours on the wall in the lobby between the two rest rooms.  This caused a great deal of consternation for AJ who had to wait till 3:30 pm to visit the ladies room.

Joe describes the unfortunate events of the morning.

“As we were leaving the hotel this morning, I knew exactly where I was going. Of course, we were being followed by three cars that had no clue about where the HealthSouth was located. I took a right and headed to highway 31.  We traveled 17 miles out into the country when I first thought something might be not-exactly-right. I remarked that nothing looked terribly familiar to which AJ quipped that it shouldn’t look familiar since I had gone in the wrong direction. At that point, I was stunned but my legion was still faithfully following me so I had to make it look like AJ’s fault. AJ, who I referred to as my deaf/mute co-pilot for the rest of the day, decided to finally give me the correct directions to the facility after which she received the pummeling of her life with my giant wiffleball bat of terror. I cried a little on the inside but it’s all over now.”

Doc stretches his fingers in preparation for a demonstration of “here’s the church, here’s the steeple.” He doesn’t want to pull a muscle.

…and so I told Moses that he should part the Red Sea like this so it’d seem more official

After being the butt of a relentless heckler (an 82 year old lady in a wobbly wheelchair), Bill challenges her to a brawl to be held after he eats his tootie-fruity cupcake and tells his new old lady on her.

“I swear, Joseph. If you don’t get that %(@* camera out of my  ^#!* face and let me be my usual &#@!$^% graceful self, I’m going to have to tell you how I really feel.  Now, as I was saying, it’s very hard to be a proper southern belle. It takes lots of schooling in good etiquette (belch deleted).”

Moses, Noah, Adam, and Eve told a little birdie that today was Doc’s birthday. Appropriate for any birthday boy

Betty holds tightly to her poster as Bill sidles over and tries to sneak it out of her hands. Bill, your slick words and sly moves don’t impress her.

Every year we return to Elizabethtown, the visitations get better and better and this year was no exception.  Thanks to the efforts of Eileen Nelson, CEO, her able administrative assistant, Kim Jones, and Lorrie Young, DMO, it was fun, rewarding, and a resounding success.  Thanks to the generous support and hospitality of the Hampton Inn, Elizabethtown, we couldn't have been treated any better.  Thanks also to Michael Coyle of Bullmoose Brothers Cycles
www.bullmoosebicycles.com we were introduced to the Friday collapsible bike.  And special thanks to the staff at HealthSouth Lakeview who take such wonderful care of the patients and provided us with wonderful support.
