Mother Nature granted us a close encounter with some local wildlife today. A little blue bird seemed to be very interested in his own reflection in the passenger mirror on the truck. Check out what we saw.

To beat the cool temperature, AJ tops off her “layered look” with a 17^th shirt and then decides to add another layer for good measure. She ended up looking more like the Stay Puffed Marshmallow Man than a cyclist.

 

On one of Abel’s supposed downhills, we passed another rider going the opposite direction. Doc was heard yelling, “Sissypants! Try to ride a real hill sometime.” AJ would’ve giggled but she was too busy huffing and puffing her way UP the downhill.

A snow-capped mountain at Poncha Pass. Need we say more? We were going to ride up to the peak, but Doc forgot his snow tires.

Abel and Doc have to slow down to 45 mph in order to avoid getting a hefty ticket. Margie and AJ were displeased with the unpleasant aroma of their burning break pads. P-U!

 

Doc and Abel cruised down Poncha Pass. Well, Abel cruised down Poncha Pass. Our littlest warrior is so slight, however, that the hefty winds actually pushed him back up the pass. He had to turn around and ride backwards in order to finally get down the mountain.

Abel gives a thumbs-up when he FINALLY realizes where his reading glasses have been for the past 2 weeks.

Doc is practicing his multitasking. He is seen here, not only cycling, but also practicing his yoga or maybe getting ready to use the bathroom.

For a Poncha Pass celebration, Abel and Doc want to play London Bridge with oncoming traffic.
