Travel to Fowler, CO

![]() After vacuuming the truck, cleaning the windshield, pumping gas, and picking last night’s chicken out of Doc’s teeth, the boys make our persnickety princess unload all the bikes, get the wheels assembled, give them all a wash and wax, and air up the tires using only a straw and her breath. It’s hard to be a princess. |

![]() Since Abel doesn’t let the riders eat any breakfast (or have ice), AJ tries to make an emergency stop to get some fresh roadkill. |
![]() After riding 10 miles straight uphill in the Colorado heat, the perplexed riders can’t figure out whose bike is whose, how to get on, or which way is up. Darn Joe (bless his heart) and his stupid GPS. |
![]() The treat of the day was visiting with Abel’s relatives. It was Tia Florita’s 80th birthday and she said that she wanted to visit with us for her present. Obviously, there’s not much action in Fowler. Instead of spending her special day relaxing, she spent it cooking a HUGE meal for us (the meal was so large that we had to eat it twice). We had a great time with Abel’s family and look forward to another great visit next year! |
It’s
quite obvious that Abel’s family really loves AJ more. We can’t really blame
them.
