John Cool is a
43 year old, right leg, above
knee, amputee from Allentown, PA.
John lost his leg August 17th, 2004 in a motorcycle vs telephone pole
accident. It was a draw as both are still standing strong today! Along with
the amputation, John has a right Brachial Plexus injury, affecting the
nerves in his right arm but that he doesn't slow him down one bit. John
spent 7 years, ('87-'94), in the U.S. Navy as a Hull Maint.Tech. traveling
all over the U.S., Canada and Europe, while stationed on 3 different
Aircraft Carriers. He worked as a welder in the Cryogenic Industry for
several years, then welded for a mechanical contractor, for several more,
until his accident. He went back to work as an Estimator up until the
economy took a major dump and has been laid off since. John has 2 great
kids, Zack 18 and Josh 13 and enjoys spending time with family and friends,
also doing anything outdoors, especially biking and meeting new people.
