Jeff Martin

Jeff Martin a 52 year old below the knee amputee from Savannah, Missouri.   The fight to  save Jeff's left foot ended on April 14, 2010.  Before being stricken by bone infection foot Jeff was a professional trainer, teaching project management and various leadership topics.  After meeting his prosthetist, a Marine Corps amputee, who was preparing for a triathlon Jeff decided to do the bike ride in a mini triathlon.  Preparation started the fourth day of rehab when he asked if he could get on the exercise bike and give it a try.  About six weeks after getting his prosthetic he rode in his first triathlon.  Jeff wasn't a real bicycle enthusiast but found that he really enjoyed riding, it got him outside and was great exercise.  Over the next few weeks Jeff tried to determine how this loss could make a difference in other peoples lives.  Telling his story is something he finds to be quite fulfilling and he wants to bring hope to people who are facing any type of obstacle in their lives.  Jeff's biggest desire is to set people free from the limits that have been placed on them over the years.
